The Frissiras Museum organizes every year educational programs especially designed for schools according to the specific needs of each age group. The visit - guidance to the museum has a double purpose; educational as well as recreational. Its main aim is to help children and adolescents become acquainted with Contemporary Painting.
More precisely, the museum, always in accordance with its temporary exhibitions, offers the following educational activities:
FOR THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN:
Educational / inspirational program aiming at
- introducing the children to the representational arts.
- helping the children develop their imagination in order to de-codify the multilateral work of the presented artists using creative means such as painting, music, theatrical games and fairy tales.
- enriching their knowledge and experience the excitement caused by art.
FOR THE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:
Specifically organized educational tours aiming at
- getting the children to know the new artistic tendencies in national and international level.
- developing their imagination and memory.
- encouraging discussion and the exchange of ideas regarding contemporary art.
- nurturing their love for the museums and their interest for further visits.
Οur educational activities are one hour and thirty minutes long for the Elementary school children and one hour long for Junior High school and High school students. The participation fee is 3 euros per student (the entrance is free for the teachers, professors, persons accompanying them).
